Rarest Words

define love

Please define love, is it the only gift from above? Does it lie in a parent’s emotion to child, or is it an act that drive adults behind closed doors go wild. Is it a quest of great faith that we can’t fail, like that of Author and the holy-grail. Is love the act of lust or a certain emotion, For I only know now the truest of notion. I define love as what I can feel for you, A powerful act that remains true. It is not in the touch of your skin, or our nightly blend of sin. No it is so much more that I have to need, it is the knowledge that you will be host and teacher to my seed. From your guidance to your choice in life, you are the one I want as lover and wife. The act of love is felt in every day with you, the feeling of salvation I can only find is true. Others may tell of love and how it is felt in their mind, but I know not what they know nor care for I am blind. I don’t care for other’s people word of distress and hate, For I have found true happiness when you came into my fate. I need not look any further then your eyes to find what I need, for it is in you I will live for, die, and bleed. let me define love and all that is true, for it lies in your touch, your eyes, your words, my God it’s you.

Hair Loss - Where Did All My Power Go?

They say the truth hurts and the truth is, the way you look will affect how people treat you. It may not be right, but it’s the world you live in. Having a great personality is fine, but people are usually nicer to you, if they think you’re attractive, then if they don’t. The marketing industry feeds off the insecurities, that people have about their appearance, especially when it comes to hair loss.

Hair loss can be a traumatic event, for women and men. You can hide almost any skin problem, but it’s practically impossible to hide hair loss. It’s not just how others see you, but how you see yourself. No hair loss is good, but if it happens at a young age, then it can be more depressing. It can be hard on your ego, if you’re 25 years old, but everyone thinks you’re 50. With the lack of self-confidence, that comes from hair loss, a lot of people will stop socializing and could end up alone.

Is losing hair the problem, or is it the fact that the hair doesn’t grow back. Everybody loses hair on a daily basis, but for many, there is no re-growth. Usually, about 10% of your hair is in a resting phase, which means it’s not growing. After 2 to 3 months, your resting hair will fall out and new hair begins to grow, this is called the growing phase. The growing phase can last from 2 to 6 years and your hair will grow about 1 centimeter per month.

So, why is your hair no longer going through the normal resting and growth phases? There could be numerous circumstances behind your hair loss, but the most common causes are, male and female pattern baldness, this type of hair loss can occur because of genetics and the natural aging process; stress can cause hair loss, but if the stress is removed, the hair may grow back; traction alopecia, which occurs because of excess pulling on the hair, like braiding; trichotillomania, which is the act of pulling out hair, for no reason; alopecia areata, this occurs when hair falls out in patches; and chemical damage, which is common in cancer patients, who go through chemotherapy, but once the chemotherapy stops, the hair can grow back.

Is there a cure for hair loss? The real answer is no. There are a lot of products on the market, which claim to do everything, but they don’t cure hair loss. The FDA has yet to certify any product as a cure for hair loss. Most of the products you hear about will not describe themselves as a drug, because if they did, they’d have to go through FDA testing and prove their claims, which of course, they can’t. When there isn’t a cure, prevention is the next best thing.

When you think about all the advances, that science has made, in just the last 50 years, it’s rather amazing that no one has yet to develop a cure for hair loss. Finding a cure for hair loss, would have a greater impact on society, then trying to discover life on Jupiter.

Be Wild and Bloom

Just before black fly season arrives in May, I like to wander
into the woods to see the early spring wildflowers
poke their heads up from the forest floor. Some of my
favorites are the pitcher plant and dutchman’s-breeches.

If you look closely at the pitcher plant you can actually
see the shape of a “pitcher.” Its flared, mouth-like opening
is a perfect receptacle for some unsuspecting insect;
the next meal for this carnivorous plant.

The delicate flowers that droop from an arched stem are called
dutchman’s-breeches. These tiny white flowers in the shape of
pantaloons look like they are hanging on a line with their “ankles” up. Whoever named these little beauties must have had an exquisite eye for detail and be in communion with their Creator’s whimsical nature.

What I enjoy most about native wildflowers is that you can still find them in their natural habitat as they were meant to be: authentic and wild.

How often do you feel as though you are in some foreign land trying to live a life that doesn’t fit with who you are, and what you value? Day by day, this incongruity creates conflict. Eventually, you shut down, wither and your passion for life starts to dry up. These little everyday compromises end up costing you your health and well-being.

What if the “real” you were to come out of hiding?
Are you sometimes afraid of what other people will
think if they knew the real you? Maybe they
would find out that you have doubts about your abilities
as a parent, a partner, a friend, an employee, manager or any one of the numerous roles you play in your life. Could it be that what you have been hiding is some gift, talent or idea because you don’t think it is good enough?

I believe that if we are going to be more authentic in
our lives then we are all going to have to come out of hiding
and tell the truth about who we really are. It is only when
the truth is brought out of hiding and, into the light, that
we will be free to be the unique individuals that we were
created to be. The world doesn’t need another imitation.
It needs each of us to express our way of being in the world.

Like the wildflowers hidden beneath the forest floor,
the truth has a mysterious way of finding the light.
Perhaps we are all divinely programmed to seek the light and, then again, maybe the light finds us.

This spring may you find your own plot of earth
to firmly plant your roots, stand up and express your
real Self.

Wedding Hair Styles - 7 Common Mistakes most Brides make

Planning your wedding hair style is crucial to achieve a beautiful wedding day look. There is a little work involved and you should never leave this important facet of your wedding to the last minute, or to amateurs.

Below are 7 common mistakes that many brides make with their wedding day hair styles.

1. You don’t schedule a trial run with a professional stylist, or even try to do you hair on your own advance. Even if you are doing your own hair, you will need to do a trial run to make sure you can do your hair exactly the way that you want.

2. You show up to your stylist on the day of your wedding wearing a T-shirt and sweatpants. Nothing wrong with the sweatpants, but the T-shirt represents disaster waiting to happen. When you pull the T-shirt over your head to take it off, your bridal hair style will get all messed up. Be sure to wear a button-down shirt when you get your hair done on your wedding day.

3. You remove your veil for the reception and make a mess of your hair style. Let your hair stylist take care of removing your veil. If he or she will not be at your wedding, have her/him instruct a member of the bridal party how to remove the veil without destroying your hair.

4. You use conditioner in your hair on the day of your wedding. This is a big NO-NO according to many professional stylists. Conditioner in your hair can make it too flyaway to work with, in turn causing your style to fall out.

5. You let your hair grow out 6-months to 1-year before your wedding and you plan to wear it in an updo. Most updos require hair that is 3-4 inches past the shoulders. When your hair is too long, it will be difficult to work with and the style may not hold as well.

6. You decide 1 week before your wedding to get a perm, change your hair color, add highlights or anything else that is dramatic. These decisions so close to your wedding day are usually based on stress. Don’t make drastic changes right before your wedding. You may be very sorry!

7. You are annoyed by hair pins and hairspray. If you do not let your hair stylist use enough hair pins and hairspray to create your wedding updo, the style may fall out half way thru the ceremony. Let the stylist do his or her work and use all the pins and hairspray needed.

In short, wedding hair styles require pre-planning. You will be looking at photos for many years of your wedding day, so make the hair style work so you can enjoy your big day.

Goatee Grooming: The Art of Growing A Goatee

Goatee Shaping

I use an electrical shaver and find it works quite well to shape my goatee. I simply shave around my goatee when shaving my face each morning.

Using a manual razor can also work very well since it allows to quickly and cleanly shape your goatee. A manual razor is also good for hard to reach areas such as the areas beside each side of your nose.

A new manual razor I’ve seen advertised has a special trimming blade that looks like it could be very helpful for goatee shaping since it would enable you to shape your goatee cleanly and quickly.

If you can find a clear gel or shaving oil, it’s probably better to use than a regular shaving foam cream. Once you’ve covered your skin with the foam, it’s hard to see what you’re shaving to ensure your goatee is symmetrical!

Goatee Trimming

My suggestion is to buy an electric trimmer for goatee trimming. I bought a $20 cordless goatee trimmer two years ago after spending way too much time trimming my goatee with scissors.

Using a goatee trimmer like the one I have ensures that your goatee is symmetrical and neat.

Also, the built in length selector enables me to select the length of the hair rather than guessing with a pair of scissors. My trimmer gives me three different length choices.

Bottom Line

The bottom line is that to avoid having to spend a lot of time and effort on goatee grooming, getting an electric trimmer is probably your best bet.

Remember to wash your goatee when you’re washing your face, too.

Depending on how thick and how bushy your facial hair grows, goatees can take different shapes and forms. Your genes and your personal preference will largely determine how your goatee looks.

Acne Treatment Product Information

Recent studies have concluded approximately 90% of all teenagers, 50% of all adult women and 25% of all adults had suffered from acne, either as a chronic skin disease or at some point in their lives. Although there’s no universal cure, acne is definitely easier to treat now than it used to be. However, finding the right acne treatment product is still a mystery for many of the sufferers.

Despite all the scientific knowledge today, people still think that acne is caused by particular things we do. Actually, it is mostly a combination of factors underneath our skin that lead to acne. The good news that there are acne treatment products that can eliminate it completely in about 95% of all cases.

Your skin has many wonderful features that help it recover completely even from serious acne if treated properly:

* It is self healing.
* It is very elastic.
* It registers and remembers sensations very precisely.
* It is very resilient.
* It is self-cleaning and hardly ever suffers any serious infection.
* It lets in some elements and protects you from others.
* It holds in the entire amount of liquid that flows through your body.

Salicylic Acid

There’s a lot of evidence that salicylic acid is one of the most effective approach on acne problems. It decreases the number of primary acne lesions, as well as the number and severity of all lesions associated with acne. Salicylic acid is safe to use even on dark skin and gives good and fast results.

Glycolic Acid

Among popular alpha hydroxyl acids, glycolic acid is one of the most commonly used. It has similar results with a chemical peel. Even when used in strong concentrations, glycolic acid has only few negative side effects. Long-term day to day use may also have a beneficial effect on acne scars.

Glycolic acid is also effective in increasing skin resistance to ultraviolet light, improving moisture retention, as well as the general skin condition. However, even though it is quite effective and has only minor side effects, it is better to use as part of a more complex skin care system.

Benzoyl Peroxide

Benzoyl peroxide is a widely used ingredient in acne treatment products. It used to be very popular in the 1930s, but since then, medical science has come up with new and more effective treatments. However, many dermatologists are still pleading for the benefits of acne treatment products that contain Benzoyl peroxide.

In addition to its antibacterial effect, Benzoyl peroxide apparently has an anti-oxidant action as well. Among its most common side effects is dry and irritated skin.

Many acne treatment products available on the market today use one of the ingredients mentioned above in combination with other ingredients. Some of the most famous and effective products against acne are ProAcrive, ZENMED Derma Cleanse System, Accutane and Benzoyl Peroxide. However, when purchasing an acne treatment product, you have to look through the side effects thoroughly, as some of them may be worse than your acne itself.
