Tennis League Network runs the original ever Flex League USA tourney
Waltham, MA- The first yearly USA tournament of the Tennis League Network (TLN), which facilities local online tennis communities in 34 US cities, was a overwhelming success, says TLN CEO Steve Chagnan. Held Nov. 6-8 at Crandon Park Tennis Center in Miami, FL, The event, played on hard courts, pulled 31 players of all tennis ablilites– all of them winners in their respective local TLN seasons.

I don’t think we could have had a better first run event. The facility and weather were perfect, and the tennis participants were congenial and enthusiastic, said Chagnan. Players who won their respective season tournaments local seasons got free entrance into the tournament.
The metro area seasons under the TLN umbrella serve to connect local, committed tennis participants who love the sport of tennis. We make sure that players are associated with equally skilled tennis partners. Matches are played predominantly on public tennis courts. It has been a highly successful program, Chagnan said. Since 2006, there have been more than 42,700 tennis matches played; 2009 saw a 51% increase in on court connections over 2008.
TLN was inspired to produce this National tourney as the ideal conclusion for all the players who have won tournaments in their individual cities, said Chagnan. The tennis participants most major cities, including Miami, Boston, DC, Chicago, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Denver, Orange County, LA and Philadelphia. players were grouped in mini-divisions of 5 players, and played in a round-robin employing a 10 pro set format (First to win10 games). The top two players from each mini-division moved onto a single elimination tourney with other skill-level mini-division qualifiers.
